I can't succeed in connecting with SAM-BA v2.8 to the AT91SAM9XE512 microcontroller.
What is the problem?

The AT91SAM9XE512 chip ID in SAM-BA v2.8 is not correctly referenced.
Workaround:
Modify the devices.tcl file in SAM-BA installation folder by adding for the AT91SAM9XE512, the chip ID 0x329AA3A0
